I'll admit, I'm about 3 years too late, but I am loading a new (for me) version of DeLorme 2006 (yes I know it's 2009 now) for my mapping program on ACI. I got it to work, but the markers are so little. A tiny little subject and three tiny little comps. Is there any way to get the markers larger so I don't have underwriters calling me asking for a better map?

    Thanks

    Vivian

I used to use the Delorme program to save money, however, I broke down and paid for their maps. The markers are much larger and nicer than the delorme version.

    1A. Open notepad

1B. Write the information you want to include in your marker/tag in notepad

    2.open Delorme

    3. Click on Draw

4 on the bottom left side click on the flag icon

    5. Copy the information to go in the marker/tag

    6. Right click on the location you want to put the marker/tag

    7. put your cursor on the words "add mapnote"

    8. scroll down to the blank flag icon and left click (that puts the blank icon on the map)

    9. right click on the line that says label and "paste" you information.

    10. go back to the icons on the bottom left and click on the cursor Walaa you have created a map tag.

You can click on the marker while in Street Atlas USA and change the font and the size of the font. Right click on the map note and click on manage draw, then click on edit draw object, then highlight the text, then go down to the bottom of the screne where you will see the font and size choices. Once you change it there, it will stay that way until you change it again. I increased the size on mine and it works really good.

Say, If anyone has any old copies of Street Atlas 2007 laying around say because you upgraded to web maps or something, and you'd be interested in selling them, let me know.

That's just fine, unless one happens to have all the time in the world (due to lack of work) and no money (also due to lack of work.) Until some sort of sanity returns to the industry, I'm not spending one penny more than I have to.
