I just got off the phone with an Alamode salesperson, and he informed me that the training classes would not count toward CE credit. This sucks! <_< In the past, I have received CE credit for attending the training classes.

He told me that if you live in FL or OK that you would be given credit if you attend class in your home state.

I was going to upgrade to Platinum, so I could get the classes for free and CE.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I'm a platinum member and I want to go to the class because it's in Las Vegas. I get a free slot. I also registered my wife who processes most of my files. SHE wants to go because she wants to figure out 90% of the features we don't use and probably will never use. IMHO Biggers lost his way and is the Bill Gates of appraisal software. Meaning, he develops useless crap that 99% of appraisers would never use and pats himself on the back for being a pioneer. Hey Dave! Call me. I'm an appraiser in the real world and have real needs. Not the window dressing junk you spend all your resources on. But I digress. The other reason I am taking the class with my wife is because it's in Las Vegas. The third, and most important reason, I am taking the class is because it's a tax write-off. And I could care less about CE because it's in Las Vegas.

Will, there is no CE on this it is just a seminar. Mine is free and a friend that has the low end product its free for him as well. I've no idea what alamode's rules are for who gets in free and who has to pay...based upon their membership, but it might be worth asking them.

They told me that it was only free to Platinum members. I have the Silver membership.

I would have upgraded if the class was approved for CE. The classes that I attended in Cleveland and Indianapolis both were approved.
