Passed both houses today. Next stop...the Governor's signature. It'll happen within 60 days.
Congratulations Illinois, and as an American Citizen I thank you Mr. Weaver for your quality public service to your local citizenry.
Good new. Good news, indeed.
Are Hold Harmless/Indemnify clauses included in this bill?
Be careful what you wish for... I am sure you are aware of unintended consequences of any law... is there a link to it where we can read it?
I'll roll the dice and take my chances.
That stated, you will find a link to the bill at the ICAP website (notice posted 5/30).
(8) Requiring an appraiser to sign any sort of indemnification agreement that would require the appraiser to defend and hold harmless the appraisal management company or any of its agents, employees, or independent contractors for any liability, damage, losses, or claims arising out of the services performed by the appraisal management company or its agents, employees, or
independent contractors and not the services performed by the appraiser.
Has the bill been signed by the gov? Is there any language about paying apprisers in a timely manner?
Hang in there re: governor signing the law. Once signed, the announcement will come loud and clear.
