What an odd season.
Praying to God we get some of that rain in N. GA!
Florida is still in a drought.....we need all of those systems with no wind! We are 12 inches below average rainfall and Lake Okeechobee is 1.5 feet lower than it ever has been this time of year before......
Even when the clouds are over the New Port Richey area, they always tend to avoid my house. My lawn is suffering.
You know, it's funny, but my chiropractor happened to mention to me that he lives in New Port Richey and it rained all last weekend! Hmmmmm real spotty I guess!
there's rain in the New Port Richey Area, I can see it in the distance, just rarely over my house (except for the 5 minutes right after I posted my previous comment, go figure)
Looks like all y'all have at least 4 days before the palm trees start kissing the ground. Almost 2 more months before our rainy season starts here in Northern California.
I played in a golf outing yesterday. This was the 27th year for this group and they have never had any rain fall during the golf time. This year we are in a drought with the last time we had .5 inch of rain or more was June 25. Naturally we got in 6 holes and they called it off because of rain-greens weren't draining and were very soggy. At least the charity still gets their money.
Palm trees look cool;
not sure i have ever seen a royal palm-$10,ooo an appraiser said today.
We have had a 1/2 dozen unsolicited offers from landscape companies to kindly remove this palm for free. Hummmm, let's see. It's healthy and provides nice shade, why would I want it gone? Really kind of them to offer to do it for free too.
I don't know what kind of palm it is - but I'm not giving it away!
PS - I know it needs to be trimmed. It's been too hot & I, thankfully, live in a neighborhood that does not care.
