I am asking all appraisers who participate in this forum and outside of this forum to take under advisement the possibility of wanting to be part of something bigger. Coming together as one voice and collectively being able to control our future, our data and our fees in this industry.
Look at the NAR. I shouldn't have to say another word. Membership is through the roof. They have lobbyists. They have a voice. They have pull. Lets prove to this industry that we are more than what we appear to be.
Right now as we speak something is being stirred in a huge pot that will be beneficial for all appraisers. I'm not at liberty to discuss all the details at this time but what we do need is participation. Real participation. Real support from real appraisers.
If you want to be a part of something bigger than just your office than please contact me via email, private message or call me. It's our time to rise. We have to be better. We can be great.
Who will rise to the challenge of wanting to better our industry? I am pointing my fingers at everyone of you. It's we the people not I the appraiser. We truly have the ability to be so much more than we are. I see greatness in each and every appraiser I have spoken to and the more people that I hear from daily makes me believe that I'm not alone.
If someone asks me what time it is, I'm going to let them know it's OUR time.
It's OUR time to make our voices heard loud and clear. It's OUR time to protect OUR data. It's OUR time to protect OUR fees. It's OUR time to protect one another.
Spread the word. Big things are happening and I want each and everyone of you on this forum to be part of it. I want every appraiser in this state on board this locomotive and no matter where this ride takes us we are all going to be part of it.
There is room for everyone who truly wants to make a difference and have a voice.
I encourage all other states, coalitions, schools and groups to take notice that appraisers can come together and make a difference!
The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand in times of challenge and controversy. -Martin Luther King, Jr.
