I am an amatuer photographer and have switched to digital and wish to sell (possibly on E-bay) my Nikon (non-digital) film camera and need an appraisal of it`s worth and also of the rest on my Nikon equipment. The camera is a Nikon Photomic F2AS with a Nikkor-O Auto 1:2 f/35mm Nippon Kogaku lens. The S/N for the camera is F2 789085. I am not sure if this is the forum to obtain this information but would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    606md

This is a real estate appraiser forum. There may be someone here who does personal property. But, I wouldn't hold my breath.

    606...

This appraisal forum is a Real Estate Appraisal board...

I suggest that you Google Camera Appraisal to find something along the scope that you are searching for...

If this forum came up as a result of a prior search that you have done, it is most likely because we also have info about cameras within our ""tech/Equipment" sub-forum...

Sorry, but virtually everyone on this board is a real property appraiser.

If you were to look around on E-bay for a while and maybe follow a couple of the photography forums you could probably get a pretty good handle on the value and marketability of your equipment.

This forum is primarily for real estate.

I would suggest you search a site like this.

    http://www.acecam.com/used-cameras-2.html

There are several sites you can contact through that link that will buy the equipment outright, or sell on consignment. You can also search their sites for the model Nikon you have and see what the asking prices are. Also, search e-bay's site and see if there are any that would be competition for your camera.
    Good luck to you.

click the "closed listings" box when searching in ebay and see what others have sold for.

I don't know if there are any personal property appraisers here...primarily real estate appraisers...I don't know how many would give their services away for free either :)

Oops, didn`t realize that this site was for real estate only. Many thanks to all those who responded to my thread and for your kind recommendations which I will pursue.
