For those of you out there who are in a great deal of pain ...... you understand this topic without even the slightest smirk on your face ...... OK .... maybe a little smerk .....

... forgive me .... out there ...... but I have been in pain for about 6 years ... and its not getting better ... but I manage it better ....

..... for some reason the colon just does not seem to work ...... fiber is not the answer ... I have tried everything .....

...the only thing that seems to work is stimulant teas and colace ....

... waking up the system ...... how do you do it?

.... I recon its years of bad diet and continued poor diet ...

    .... I thought a 21 day fast would help ... but I just can't get up the nerve .....

...thinking maybe a 14 day grapefruit diet with baking soda ...... to detox

The human digestive system, and body in general, is set up like that of a herbivore; everything from the type of teeth to the length of the small intestine system to the lack of Vitamin C production. A high fiber diet is an absolute necessity.

Forget the fasts...try something simple...avoid meats, dairy, and simple carbohydrates for a month. Eat only unprocessed foods....fruits, vegetables, and whole grains (grains with the hull not removed). The only thing you would have to be careful of is the extreme change of diet will cause some upset to the lower digestive system, though it will work itself out in a few days.

It works...I've have personal experience with it.

Edit: major mistake in the first sentence...I really have to stop the hit and run posting during the day :)

Drink a MINIMUM of 2 quarts of filtered water daily (mix with fave citrus juice for flavor) for 10 days - chronic dehydration is the #1 reason for chronic constipation. Then cut back to a minimum of 1 quart daily while avoiding coffees, TEAS, caffeine-enriched sodas etc. which are diuretics that expel any moisture intake from other drinks and foods. Also increase walking and breathing .......fresh air - the combo will stoke your metabolism, expedite absorption of ingested foods, and stimulate digestion.

p.s. highly recommend eating 1 fresh large banana daily as well.

Eat a big ol' mess o' collard greens. Your pants will fit better afterwards.

    I feel your pain.

This has all been caused by the HVCC and the AMC's. They are full of it and now we all are full of it.

The AI should have done something about this issue. It just smells bad.

Where were all the state appraisal boards while this issue was backing up?

The AQB could have put out tighter constraints.

The ASB did not do enough to flush out the weaker issues.

Here we are with the creek backed up and our paddle does no good.

Prunes. Dried apricots. Lots of fiber. Less meat.
