Fannie and UAD 3.6

I am trying to find a reason to continue.3.6 requires a major investment of time. Why go to all the hassle to do difficult assignments for the most part for AMC's that mostly dont want to pay an adequate fee? They are making it hard to want to continue.
Agree. Its not like I see a huge value in the 3.6. Yes a lot of stuff needed to be updated its been 20+/- years since the last major update. But this is a ludicrous. Its like a bunch of people with no discernable appraisal experience got together and put out a list of what they might want to know about the housing stock in the US, then made that list a requirement of the form not a form. And most of that stuff has no business being part of an appraisal.

Just pondering on this and realized that a pdf is not supported in the 3.6. Think on that and how many mapping functions you use that are not part of the software platform that are pdf's. As in all online mapping like plat maps, zoning maps, etc. Not to mention any super long legal descriptions. Also what about the place for the engagement letter? there is a spot for it, not mandatory but it is there. What a bunch of maroons came up with this new form not a form.

Where in the world did you hear that? There have been lots of PDFs imported into the reports already submitted.

It was true until 6 days ago. That fortunately has been updated.

That is not accurate either. I have reports from months ago with imbedded PDFs.

Do not confuse what a specific software can or cannot do with what what is allowed in the UAD.

There is a learning curve to3.6

Lets face it. many of us are dinosaurs. The young appraisers were born with a smart phone in their hands instead of a baby rattle'

So they will grasp 3,6 with no problems BUT and there is always a BUT the Ge X an-Z won't put up with the AMC Fast N Cheap model for very long. For that matter they most likely won't even consider this profession after they do the research,

And no clue as to how to value real estate.

We have a profession of young renters valuing RE purchases and refis based on what the computer spits out at them. :rof:

"Experience doesn't matter" - what an ignorant concept for "leadership" of a profession to throw out there.

Leadership? Who our these leaders that you speak of? No one that I am aware of that tells me how and when or where I choose to work' subject to state licensing. Which I am very aware of and comply with. Now I am aware of the Federal component which I observe and comply with,
