I recently started using the HP 12C as my main calculator on inspections. What I would do is simply use it for financial assignments. I wanted to share some keystrokes and would like people to also post some common keystrokes. I especially would like to know if there is a way on the HP 12C to find out the following. Can I input a GLA into the HP 12C and the width of a house and it tell me exactly what the length is. I used to use the calculator and would try 5-6 times to get a even fit.

I know how to do the mean and also the change in sale price from one year to the next.

I usually try all numbers that multiply by my width or by my length to find my x variable. I was wondering what the key stroke was to find x if you know the width and the ending GLA.
