Yes, gregb. Something very similar. Event though they are AMC's.
so he's going to file a formal complaint? You two can't sit down and settle this over some coffee or something? Sorry to hear...best of luck though

How is this even a licensing board issue? I would think it would be a civil matter, what does your non compete agreement say-if you have one?

So you're snagging his clients?

I would wait at least one year before accepting any work from an AMC that my mentor currently works with.

There are plenty of fish in the sea, leave his alone for now.

In the meantime, get your own MLS membership, software, computer and E&O.

I have no idea how it's a licensing matter. I don't think they have jurisdiction, but i am now being asked to defend my file because of this complaint. :(

First we are not attorneys BUT I have more than a few in my family ... First do not take legal advice from forum members including me!. Go to a local Business or Real Estate Attorney and spend the $200.00 for advice an he-she will most likely send your mentor or prior employer a letter stating what and how he-she may be in a bad situation 80% of the time these kind of people crawl into a hole once they find out you are not rolling over but if he does you need the attorney to place him on notice and if the State sends you a letter you need to have your attorney respond *** NOT YOU .. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

That's just it, I have all of that. He "terminated" without any notification and suspended my MLS membership through his office. I confirmed I was terminated on Monday, and was up and running with my own software and MLS the same day. I already had E&O.
