Know of a lender for log home?

I was hired by a mortgage broker to appraise a nice, almost new log home up in Coos County. Paid upfront at the door.

Now the lender that the broker had in mind is balking about doing a log home. Do you know any wholesale underwriters that might accept a log home? It's a shame not to finish up the appraisal, now that I have been paid by the borrower.

I haven't been out here in a awhile, but I have never had a problem with a lenders lending on a log. I've done about 5 logs. Log homes seem to attract a higher price than stick built homes if that is what someone is interested in.

What construction type is it? Full stack, post and beam, D-log... the type of construction may help finding a lender.

First Colebrook Bank

There's a local lender in Coos County, First Colebrook Bank, that I regularly do log home appraisals for. They are great to work for as well. I work in the central part of the state and deal with the Concord office. I don't know any appraisers that work the north country, are you interested in a mutual referral arrangement?
