Our office has recently started using Mercury which we are pleased with so far. However, Mercury lenders are few and far between. Does anyone have a roster of lenders utilizing Mercury we could market to?

    Thanx!

I've used Mercury for over a year, in fact was one of the first to get it. A few months ago when business slowed a bit, I thought I could "market" myself to the lenders on Mercury.

But instead I found that around 50% or more are either giving wrong info (email, phone numbers don't work) or they have left that company, etc. This is due to the fact that "companies" per se don't register, but individuals do. So Loan Officer Joe Schmoe signs up, and 2 months later he's at another company, the data in Mercury is not deleted.

As time goes on, if Alamode does not correct this, there will be an enormous numbers of lenders (and others such as appraisers) listed in Mercury who no longer "exist" or have moved on.

I would not place a whole lot of effort marketing Mercury for appraisal leads, but if you are successful, consider yourself lucky - and let us know.

I did receive 1 order in about a year and half. However, they wanted a precomp first. I have completed 0 orders from Mercury. It is a total waste of time and money.

The lenders that use this service look for the cheapest appraiser that will guarantee value.

Some counties that I sampled from across the country had over 275 appraisers listed. For my zip code alone, 305 listings come up! Good luck being found on that directory!

 Mercury is a waste of time and effort. Been on there almost 1 year, nothing has happened, too many appraisers on the list. Why would someone choose us?
