I love my job. Today I got up and at 8 a.m. checked my messages and e-mails in my Home Office, then closed the office down at 8:30 a.m. Everything's on hold until Monday when race weekend is over!

My windows are up and I can hear the roar of the cars practicing. My morning was well spent, as I laundered all of our racing shirts (and much to my embarrassment) ironed them and creased the sleeves. At 1 p.m. I'm taking a nap, and at 3 p.m. will be on the 4th floor grandstand overlooking the Monster Mile. It's a free party, free food and drink, while we're overlooking the time trials. Truck races follow either tonight or tomorrow. Tomorrow much of the same and the "party room" opens at noon for the Busch Race. If things get boring, I'll just go downstairs to the Casino floor and play nickel slots

    Yeah, I love my job!

    Charlotte,

Have a blast at the track. We need another win by one of the Roush boys. I'd like to see Mark win and get a little closer to the cup. Would not be sad if Matt or Kurt got in the winner's circle either.

    Have a great time, Charlotte.

I'm hoping Matt can pull it off, but if not it would be fun to see Mark win it all.

If Matt can win the championship, it would be the third year in a row that the champion raced at one of the Madison area short-tracks during the season. Tony raced midgets and sprints here two years ago and Matt has been around the past two seasons doing late models.

What fun! We killed Friday afternoon and evening, in the enclosed grandstand and at all of the parties. Love it! And even better was the $4,716 my husband won on $1.80 on a nickle machine last night (60 cents a shot, 3 times). Not to be outdone, I won $1,250 on a fifty cent machine, but it cost me $15. Yeah, had to do the SS routine, but that's fine. It sure paid me to shut down the office!

We live 10 minutes from the track, so this morning was breakfast with the crews. Got to talk to a few of the guys while waiting in line at the omelet station. The dining room overlooks the 3rd and 4th turns, and those boys were flying this morning, just testing the track.

Jeremy looked great, Jeff looked bad. I'd kind of like to see Mark do well, but then I like Jimmy Johnson, too. We'll see.

We just took naps, so we heading back over to party #6 for the Stacker 200 Busch Series. And.....in case you question my responsibility, or lack thereof, we put the $ in the bank at 8:30 this morning!

    Wish you were here!
