If you are proposing that AMC's should also pay some sort of special additional taxes over and above what any other business in your state already pays, then what makes you think that the state would not also eventually subject appraisers to those same additional taxes?You just have to go a different angle. Tax AMCs on their cut of the fee and the water won't be so murky. Now I am not saying asking for proof of presumption 1 wont do it too.
If you think money is the only factor at the state level..,. taxes will equalize at least the money part.

The fact is that you don't actually know, do you? I would bet that whatever taxes business taxes that you pay are also levied on every other business in the state, including corporations that are registered to do business in TN like AMC'sI don't think so. See I am taxed on appraisal fees.
