Sometimes the weather here can be harsh, but then I look out and see things like this that make up for the cold. If you look closely you can see that there's a second one above it too. Today was the first time that I've seen a rainbow in the valley below us.
Sorry the pic's a bit fuzzy....time for a new camera.

    That is so beautiful!!!!

I remember standing on your deck right where you took that photo. I feel cheated that I didn't get to see a rainbow like that one though.

    Pam,
You'll just have to come visit again. Maybe next time you'll see one. :D

I'll bet you can see another rainbow if you topped some of those trees.... Stihls were invented for view enhancement. :D

    Bobby,
I've already taken down at least 500 trees, and that was just to get a building permit! Trust me, I'm not done yet, and yes....I do have my very own chainsaw.
Not a Stihl but it works just fine, and is better than drugs for stress therapy.

Cat, you missed the best views when you were here. The clouds are hiding the Continental Divide in this photo. Will send you a pic if it clears up tomorrow....they're covered in fresh snow. :D

TC, unfortunately I do have one neighbor on one side of me. Their house is about 200 feet away from mine but I didn't cut any trees down between us so it's almost like they're not there.

I forwarded the pix to my Bro. He liked the view from your deck, too. And don't fret about your saw. Put my 25 yr old Husquvarna Rancher again' any Stihl in the biz. That's a Husky when they were still Huskies. Mostly cheap junk now. Have a $79 McCollough, too. Them's throw away saws but serve their purpose. I have about 6 trees to cut off one fence after a May storm.

Exactly 1 yr ago I was in CO, this is a px from there...Dee Dee probably knows the house, not to far down the road from her main highway.

    Ter,

Has it really been a whole year since you were here???? I must be getting old...seems like just yesterday. Tell your bro I said hello!

Don't recognize the house but it sure is pretty. Gotta love it when those aspens start turning yellow. :D
