This notice is to display the Complaint Form that will appear on the interim IVPI Complaint website. This Complaint Form is for demonstration only; it is not available to be used to file a complaint at this time.

If you have a complaint about non-compliance with the Code, you may go to www.ivpicomplaint.org after that site becomes operational in November 2009."

Thanks for posting. Hopefully the IVPI site will be operational 11/01/2009 as they intended.

    Any updates would be appreciated.

Who are the players in the IVPI, this link still proposes that the IVPI has not yet been established. Who will we be complaining to?

    From the HVCC:

    III. Appraiser Engagement

    A. The lender or any third party specifically authorized by the lender (including, but not limited to, appraisal companies, appraisal management companies, and correspondent lenders) shall be responsible for selecting, retaining, and providing for payment of all compensation to the appraiser.

The HVCC specifically mentions who is responsible for payment of the appraisal. It would appear that this was of great significance to the drafters of the agreement. Therefore, every appraiser who have not been pain in a timely manner (ie per the terms of the engagement letter) should file a written complaint. Given how the HVCC went out of their way to note who is responsible, failure to provide payment would clearly appear to be a violation of the HVCC and make the loan ineligible for purchase by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

    Update/ Correction

UPDATE/Correction: I have been advised that the prior announcement stated "IN November"
    i.e. DURING November.

It did not specify an actual Date. As of this advisory - there is no fixed date.

Looks like I'll be able to keep my tag line a bit longer.

"Foot dragging on the IVPI is a good indicator that protecting the public is NOT a goal of the HVCC"

Notice at the very bottom of the site, in tiny little letters it says:

    This domain is for sale
    service@ivpi.org

    m2:

If you have complaints file them with the state boards in the states of the origination. If about AMC, file complaints with the state the AMC is located in. Keep copies for future, if ever, federal complaint board.
