I am renewing my license in Texas and was wondering if any other appraisers in Texas are experiencing what I am.
It has been over a week and no word and when I call to try to find out the status I just get the comment" it takes 7-10 days". I asked whether that's calendar or business and was met with silence and then she just restated what she had said.
My emails are going unanswered. I am going to send another one to info@trec but not anticipating a valid repsonse
I have been very frustrated since the TREC/TALCB merger. I cant get answers and everything takes a lot longer.
TREC has a rule that the education has to be taken 10 days before expiration. TALCB does not.
I took an online and didn't finish it up until a day or two before expiration date and sent in my education cert so I bet they are not going to process it until next Monday which 10 days to renew. That's actually two weeks and a lot of frickin missed work because of this rule. I have clients that are hesitant to send me work because license says expired. I tell them I am still active and there doesn't really have to be a license in report and on ASC and talcb web site I am still considered active.
TALCB was very efficient and renewals and it seamed like I got the renewed license as soon as I sent in education certs
