Any of my fellow chicago appraisers have info on chicago codes for these security bars on windows?

I have a chicago bungalow home with bars on 2 front windows only.Nowhere else. Bolted in from outside, no latches.

Lender wants to know if home is within code for these bars.
I know we are the Permit police, building inspectors, experts in all areas including plumbing, electrical, roofing and anything else they can think of. But code enforcement officer is a new one to me,

    Thanks in advance.

Gotta love reading municipal codes looking for an answer. BTDT. :leeann2:

Around here those would be OK as long as the rooms were not bedrooms. For bedrooms, they need interior releases.

I don't know if searching O'Leary in the codes would help find your answer. :peace:
