Did you think it not important for us to know if you are or are not an appraiser and the level of your license?

i think there is always a delay for new members because the HS has to verify they are really credentialed appraisers before they will be identified as such on the AF

Looks like TexasDOT is hiring ROW agents, an easy transition for an appraiser, and perhaps a foot in the door to bigger opportunities on the appraisal side with a general certification.

I'm surprised and shocked you relied on one client for a decade.

i'm sorry to hear that. hear in the dallas area we have more work than we can keep up with. yes, the AMC's suck to work for often. but it's better than going hungry. we rely on the bigger cash cow clients that are easier to deal with, but when times are lean we can pad it with some less-than-preferable work. i hope you can work your way back up there man, best

I am a general certified appraiser in Texas

Most of the time when people ask how to get clients they have 3-4 and they lost one. You had basically one and now want to know how to get AMC work. According to one post you have been a CG for about ten years which means you took the new test which was a lot harder that the test I took. If I was in your position I would look to work for one of the larger commercial companies instead of trying to get AMC residential work.

Utilize your license level and work in a CG firm. You will not like the AMC world.
