trying to install aurora with the disk and keep getting a message that says "wintotal needs at least 128mb to install." i have plenty of physical memory and ram to install so i know that isn't the problem. anyone else experience this message? btw this is an upgrade from athena, not a clean install, and i have turned off my firewall and virus systems. can't figure out the problem.

    Ryan,

It might be easier to download it from the web instead. It could take years to update from that disc. :)

Ryan, better check your RAM again, I tried to put Aurora on a nearly new pen tablet with nothing except the preloaded software on it only to find I needed more memory. 512 to start with, added another 512 chip and it runs like a champ, along with some other stuff I have installed.

Ryan, make sure you have a complete backup of your hard drive.

Good luck, and you have my sympathy.

Go to the alamode website and go to products for appraisers and then get a free trial of wintotal. When you put in your customer number you will get an email that tells you the cd is coming but if you want to download it before you getit, click here!

you may have to get an authorization code tomorrow, but, I think it will work fine in demo until they open.

I just loaded it for the first time about a month ago and the only problems i have had have been with Spex. Aurora has been fine.

    Now for the surprise

After the demo, try uninstalling Aurora.
That will keep you happy for the next month or so.

    Ram

    Ryan,

You will need more RAM. That is the main reason I haven't loaded it yet. I bought a new laptop, and after it arrived, Alamode sent out an update saying that they recommended more Ram.

    Call tech support for sure.

No RAM = NO RUN; 128 is way too low for most programs today.
