    I am looking to build up my library and would like suggestions for your favorite books.

    B) Wendy,

    Unless you are on the VA Fee Panel, no "book" is needed. You have to have a minimum of 5 years experience to apply. Then you will have access to the VA handbook. For a copy of the FHA Manual just go to:
    Hud

    On the right hand side click on appraisers and it will lead you to the handbook. I suggest you take a good course in real estate law, and check with the AI or other professional appraisal organizations on books or advice on court testimony.
