Default Business Logos on your vehicles?

I was wondering how many of you have your business logo, phone number, email address, and other information on your vehicles?

We have magnetic signs that we attach to our vehicles while we're on the road but are easily removable when we return to our offices.

We've had a couple of non-lenders orders come from this over the past few months. I also think it's an advantage when we're in a neighborhood as we look like work vehicles and not someone just passing through.

What have been your experiences?

I use generic (i.e., "real estate appraiser" + office telephone #) magnetic signs but my intent is to alert neighborhood folks that the man in the dark-colored car is not Mr. Stranger-Danger.

We have thought about it a couple of times, but hardly a month goes by that a potential client asks if we can do our inspection at a specific day or time. Sometimes they involve a divorce, bankruptcy or they don't want the neighbors or employees to know what is going on. So no we haven't put signs on our vehicles.

If a client or property owner has a concern about an appraiser inspecting their property I suggest that they should tell whoever inquires that they are thinking about making some changes with their insurance and I am doing an inspection for insurance purposes. If I am asked directly by someone other than the client or property owner I generally say something like "I am an independent contractor that works for a number of different private and public businesses and I have no idea of how my report is going to be used."

ROTFL... too funny! When I did residential work I did have signs, mostly to keep people from calling cops while taking comp photos.

No signs for me !!!!....

Why.. I embarassed to admit I'm an appraiser... I tell all the hot chicks that I'm a singer in a "Classic Rock" band.

When I was appraising back in the 80's with my full head of hair and my 6 pack abs, appraising was lucritive. Now it just an expensive hobby.

Also... If you cut some one off in traffic, they got your phone number from the sign and will call you each night from a pay phone and tell you their going to burn down your house sometime in the next 2 years !!!!!

I also travel anon, and don't carry a .45.

I do drive up private gravel driveways as necessary, but if I encounter the homeowner, I say howdee, and give them my biz card and just say I need a photo of the home from 'right here...is that OK?' Nary a problem.

Generally speaking, I don't want the nosy neighbors to know why I'm at the subject property....so no signage on vehicle.

Brave, I don't set foot or tire on private property without permission anymore. Too many nuts out there http://www.news-press.com/article/20...r-thought-lie-

In 11.5 years, I've never had a problem....says he while pounding the wooden desk!

But I've also become adept at driving in reverse, using both side mirrors, backwards down the windy driveways I encounter.

And the camera has a 6x zoom....sometimes wish it was more.
