Signing up with Appraisal Management Companies
Our company is looking to get more business and I would like to know HOW to sign up to get AMC business and which AMCs would you recommend signing up with? I'm located in middle Tennesse.

All you have to do is invent a phone number, dial it, and you'll likely contact an AMC. They are everywhere. Their numbers are growing daily. Seriously, search the site here or start 'googling'. They are more than easy to find.

How to Sign Up with Appraisal Management Companies
We are trying to get more appraisals and would like to know HOW to sign up with AMCs and what AMCs are recommended by other appraisers.
I would really appreciate some help here--I've search the forum and have not found what I'm looking for. Thanks, Mark |

I have yet to find an AMC I would recommend. As far as signing up, go to their web site, click on the appropriate pages and sign up.

Someone posted this yesterday. www.TAVMA.com. There is a membership list that includes most of the AMCs. Sign up with all of them and let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the information. Since I am a trainee needing hours do you think it is a good idea to use AMCs while I'm training and getting in my hours? I'm not concerned, as much, about the money as I am the hours and experience. My sponsor is willing to sign up with them if it will help me get hours.

My mama told me if I couldn't say something nice........ So I will not discuss AMCs. Many only want licensed or certified appraisers.

I think it's a lot like joining the Mafia. There is a short bloodletting ritual, papers are burned, you take an oath of loyalty you do what you are told, and give the boss a cut of everything you earn.

I think I will sign up with any of them that allow trainees to do the inspections and begin cranking out the hours. I need 1500 hours in the next year. Will working for 10 different AMCs get me 4-5 appraisals per week in the Nashville area?
