I can't wait for the federal lawsuit to stop HVCC by the brokers.

Yes, the entire lending and real estate industry has to have a way of guaranteeing value of the deal in order for the loan to go through, starting with the Realtor, AMC, mortgage broker, loan officer, etc.

I can imagine the outcry of paying the appraiser and then having the parties rewrite the deal at a lower value or just flat have the deal die.

Dear Mr Congressional Committeeman.. you must stop this HVCC... I need my bud Skip to do the appraisal so I can close my deal and pocket my commission.

Property values to stabalize and start going up? You're joking.

But then this is a mouthpiece for the real estate sales community, isn't it?

I predict lender pressure on appraisers will become worse because so many people have realized so much negative equity over the last couple of years.

Default Amc's Have Their "favorites" Too

DONT THINK FOR A MINUTE THAT THE AMC's ARENT IN BED WITH THEIR FAVORITE APPRAISER OR APPRAISAL COMPANY

IS THE HVCC GOING TO AUDIT THE AMC'S THAT GIVE 100'S OF APPRAISAL ORDERS TO ONE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY GIVE THEM A SPECIAL "DEAL" ON THE AMOUNT THEY CHARGE?
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW CLOSE THE APPRAISER IS TO THE PROPERTY OR HOW COMPETENT THEY ARE ITS ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS....
ITS BECOME NOT ARE YOU A GOOD APPRAISER BUT HOW LOW ARE YOU WILLING TO COME DOWN ON YOUR FEES TO GET THE JOB.....
