Default ACI Form 1004 Addendum: AutoSave = AutoDelete

Vista Business
ACI 9 lastest edition

While writing in the Form 1004 addendum when the autosave goes off two things happen:
1.) It scrolls the addendum page to a different position.
2.) It deletes some recent typing. This is what happened today.
Today I typed some beautiful text in the addendum describing a wreck of a property (and I had another section of the addendum open in another window). Then the AutoSave hit and poof! two beautifully written paragraphs gone.

I reported this to ACI several months ago.
I am typing this while in que position 15.
Updates didn't help.

Does this happen to you ?

ACI please make this your only priority until fixed. Thank you!

Let me add that the addendum writer just plain doesn't work the way it should.

I just look for 'physical deficiencies" carryover to the addendum and it was not in the full addendum. Then when I right clicked that field and entered the subaddendum the subaddendum was there & did have typing in it!

35 minutes on hold & still smiling.

OMG I though tit was my computer!!!

Let me know what ACI says - I thought about sending them an e-mail to inquire if this was a programming error or what - now I think I will - they need to know this happens to others, too.

I think if I don't work in sub-addendum mode - you know you can now edit without working in a particular addendum title, that the deleting doesn't happen. That's kind of how I have been trying to work to avoid the deletion of beautiful prose, which just can't be rewritten a second time after deletion . . .

I spoke with ACI & they said they thought the problem had been taken care of previously but are "certainly going to work on it again".

The problems, however, are continuing. This evening I pasted a small graphic to the addendum. That caused the program to crash & lost all that was typed since last manual save.

Crashes also occurred a few days ago when I pasted a chart from Excel (to show time adjustments).

When we begin the 1004MC many appraisers will be pasting charts in the addendum.

ACI please fix this yesterday. Thank you!

Hello ACI,

Just an update for you. I am typing in the addendum and my typing is still being deleted.
I am using the simple, full addendum in a single window and my typing is still occasionally being deleted.

ACI please respond here as to your plans to fix this bug.

Thank you.

Hi John,
As per our conversation this AM keep an eye on it now that we've webupdated and run the ACI System Check, and let me know if you have any other issues or a trend emerges,

Andrew,
This is still happening.
It seems to do this more when there is 'complex' formatting in the addendum. I didn't loose anything (that I know of) today till after a while after I pasted a 2 x 6 Excel grid from Word from Metrolist.
or maybe I just forgot to save before typing in the form after typing in the addendum.

Please advise as to ACI progress on this matter.

Oakie dokie. (sp)
More deleted paragraphs. Another report crashed while saving the addendum. It's been lots of deletions & crashes since 3/11.
I'll be happy to remove these posts when the problem is fixed.
Thank you ACI.

For graphs and charts I always use the "Extra Image Page". Most times I cannot paste from the original web page, I need to paste to Word first.

Definitely.

I had been getting happy with pasting lot maps, Excel grids, and internet clips. But nneuoooo.

Other tips:
Saving the addendum after each & every use - before going to the form and vice versa.
Don't use autosave especially with complex addendum or formatting.
