Default Gas well explosion in White County

Seems we have had to first well explosion.
Not much details yet.

I wonder what landowners will think about having a well so close after this?
Will this start a nimby attitude, or what?

Storage Tank---i Pity The Poor Workers--most Know That Its The Fumes That Does The Big Blow-not The Liquid--one Can Never, Never Purge It.never Cut A 50 Gal Gas Barrel With A Torch, Even If You Fill It With Water--the Fumes Are Still There.

So Sad.

A neighbor of mine was welding a gas tank, he stuck a hose and ran water into the tank then welded....apparently there was a pocket of gasoline fumes in the tank. It exploded and he caught fire. His helper has just left the shop and heard the explosion. When he turned around and went back he couldn't find Rod. He called the fire dept as it set the shop on fire. He then found Rod in a ditch in front of the shop, he had ran afire and fell into the ditch. He died about 3 weeks later.
