Default Burning files to a DVD

I've been burning my ACI files to a DVD and didn't think anything of it until I decided to open one of those DVD files. I now notice that, though they open OK they're all locked, and I can't edit those files from the DVD (once they're opened using ACI).

Ordinarily that would be fine but what if I had to make a change in one of the reports FROM the DVD?

Does it have to do with the type of DVD I'm using (DVD+RW)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It doesn't allow me to remove the sig. I open the DVD file in ACI and it doesn't give me the option (nor does it ask for the password). It just opens the file. Everything's there but it won't let me edit as everything's locked.

If you copy the file to your hard disk, and open it there, will ACI allow you to remove the signature?

That normally works for me.

Randolph, you're a genius! Tried it your way, works fine.

Thanks to everyone for their input.
