Default Adding PDF pages into ACI

I am trying to include a single PDF page into the actual ACI report and keep getting error messages that its not supported. I suspect this is operator error. Anyone know how to do this?

I tried inserting it into an "Extra Document Page." and an "Extra Map Page" but I get an error message that states Format type pdf is not supported.

I used the search feature for the forum but only came up with instructions on how to add pdf pages to an existing pdf document. This isn't what I need to do.

I also tried scanning the document as a photo but it froze up the computer because I guess the image is too large. I dunno. Any suggestions?

copying the page into WORD first............then copying and pasting from WORD into Comments Addendum page............works for me. for photo copy n paste separately into a blank photo page ..........first.......then reduce it there.............copy again and past into comments addendum

old fashioned manual approach which usually works fine for me.

hunting round I just found this METHOD .......SEE RANDOLPH KINNEYS' SECOND POST >>>

USE MAP PAGE NOT ADDENDUM PAGE ..>> http://www.aciweb.com/forums/p/231/269.aspx

I have been able to save pdf files as jpg files and paste them into the report. This works for a single page but is a PITA for multiple pages.

I sometimes use the "print screen" function on the keyboard, then put the image into photo shop. Once the image is in photos shop, I then save it to my desktop as a jpeg. I close photo shop and then go to a extra map page and select "insert map', then take the image from my desktop into my report.

The "print screen" method works good if you want to take data from the MLS and put it into your report.

Thanks for your help. I was trying to insert a copy of a receipt for some work the homeowner had done regarding remediating underground storage (oil) tank.

Inserting a pdf should be a pretty elementary procedure that ACI should be able to handle without crashing the program.

With SFREP its insert image, etc. or simply copy and paste. Done.

I was able to do it with SnagIt. (a really handy program and its free)

No Straight Forward Method---but Many Other Ways As Presented Here.
I Use A Free Wp Program Called Jarte-
Screen Capture By Most Any Program, Save File. Then It Will Insert Into Addendum Page Or Map Page.

If You Scan A Page, Another Poster Has Method.

Also, By Using "advanced Pdf Combiner" (google It) A Pdf File Can Be Combined With An Aci Pdf File. Pita, But Doable.

Good Luck.

99% of my reports go out of the office as pdfs, using Acrobat to create the pdfs.

Once you have created your ACI pdf you can simply import another pdf into the ACI pdf. Its a piece of cake to do, not a PITA.

Once you have your ACI pdf made and open just click on the Acrobat Documents tab and then on the Insert page command. Navigate to the pdf you want to import, and you are good to go.
