Default Umpqua Bank

Apparently, Umpqua Bank has hired Solidify Appraisal Management to assign their appraisals...

Does anyone have any experience with these folks and are you currently working with them.

Thanks

Solidfi, out of Canada, lots of follow up, but fair pay and 30 days until check arrived. Lots of e-mail follow up as well.

If it is the one out of Calif with a similar name they offered so low we refuse to take them.

Meh. Run of the mill AMC. I did a job for them and I think I got paid. Close enough to typical fee. I think I've done a few for Umqua Bank without an AMC.

Umqua Brand Ice Cream is really good and usually costs less than other brands? We used to live near the Umqua River. Here's a picture of my brother Jeff and I at the Umqua. Huge salmon... at least in the early 60's.

Hi Roscoeman,

I was already having a bad AMC week when I got this news. Bummer.

I do work for Solidifi. My issue with them is that they pay every 30 days but you get paid the end of the month AFTER you completed the report. So, for the report I sent in September 5th I will get paid around November 10th. They will send an invoice at the end of October to let me know what I will be paid for and then the checks have an address of Chicago but they are sent from Canada. So, that translates to around the 10th of the month.

I don't know about you, but my bills aren't due after 60 days and my kids need their mac and cheese on the table each day. So, I feel they are using my money for an advantageous business model and it ticks me off. I even had a guy from Solidifi tell me we were lucky; most companies in the industry pay 60 days after escrow. I told him that was not the case. I also wondered if he got paid 70 days after he did his work. I bet not or he would have understood my frustration instead of trying to sell me on why it is best for me.

Communication is okay with them; better than some but not as good as Umpqua is right now by a long shot.

I think Umpqua had a loyal group of appraisers that worked hard for them; they were my best customers. I think there will be a loss in customer service for homeowners and Umpqua with the change.

There is a good side; No AI ready, they pay a fair fee and the etrac system is good.

I'm sure it must be a business decision but I hated to see Umpqua go this route. The more they stay close to their original plan the stronger I see the bank. The more they trend toward the big guys the more problems they will have. I have recently changed my personal banking to Umpqua from Chase because I liked them so much and of course had no respect for WAMU/Chase.

I'm thinking of car sales as my next career. Big sales with that clunker program and all......

You needed a little help on Jeff's hand though. I used the rubber stamp tool at 1000% magnification (to work at the pixel level), the smudge tool at 18% pressure, and the dodge tool.
