Default Aci Crashes When Hitting Back Space

For years my Aci has been crashing when hitting back space when editing in addendum or additional comments page. They said the 2009 version should not do that, but it still does. I have been through 3 different computers with Aci and all have this problem. Does this happen to anyone else and any ideas on how to fix it?

I have called several Aci techs about this problem and no on knows. My Aci crashes in the additional comments page when hitting back space or delete. The tech today told me it was my anti virus program that might cause it. I run Avast, so does anyone know how to configure Avast for Aci? This is very frustrating.

ACI has been pretty stable for us for the last couple of years. Generally my wife can crash anything but this is not something we are having to deal with. I run Mcafee on my comupter and Norton on hers. In the past whe we have had crashing problems it has been memory related, adding additional RAM has usually fixed the problem. Also frequent saving of your work helps. I have the auto save function in ACI set to 5 minutes but I manually save anytime I have typed something I don't want to lose.

I have learned to highlight and delete instead of backspacing on the comments under the grid. Shift and Arrowback then Delete.

I have come to the conclusion that ACI just plain sucks.

If I am typing a long addendum I will do it in Word then cut and paste. No longer is that perfect comment lost.

Yeah, I know it's wrong but........

Just pop off the backspace on your keyboard with a flathead screwdriver.

*In best Sean Connery accent*
When he reached the New World, Cortez burned his ships. As a result his men were well motivated.

Don't you see? This is ACI's way of helping your out-of-the-gate accuracy.
