Default Your state?

Just curious as to what it costs in other states to renew your license/certification. In Texas, the renewal for a certified residential just jumped from $270 to $370. This is for two years and includes $50 for the national registry and $10 for "TX Online" (I'm not exactly sure what that is). I am not objecting or griping about this increase, it just got me to wondering. Possibly to make up for the lost revenue from everybody who decided not to renew, to leave the business?

What do you guys pay (& include what state). How exactly does the national registry benifit us.

Florida... for the State Certified Residential currently it is $230.00. The renewal for us is not until November of 2010. As for the spike in renewal fees it probably has to do with states losing revenue. Hence, there hefty pension plans need replenishing. They will seize this oppurtunity to fill up there piggy banks.

New Jersey is $600 for 2 years, with $50 going to the National (or some such).
All renewals are due by 12/31/09 so we will have a pretty good idea of who's in.....and who's out.

OKLA - $325.00
ARK - $325.00

That includes registry fees.

Child support fees....ain't that a bite. And everyone wants to know why the state wants to regulate everybody? Follow the money trail.

Colorado jumped from $295 to $495 for a three year renewal, certified residential. Since I also hold a broker's licence, it is going to cost me about $1,150 which includes one year state mandated E & O insurance.
