Default More fun than a Root Canal

What's more fun than a root canal? I am going to have to have one....I think this will be the 6th or so root canal and I have more pins than that. I have one tooth with 3 pins alone. I have more steel pins in my mouth than a pin cushion. I probably would set off the alarms at the airport.

I really wonder how much money I have invested in my mouth. Is is worth it to keep your teeth? Maybe a good set of chompers would be better.. Opinions anyone?

Think implants. I got one tooth that is an implant...expensive, but it is great. They now can do a full set of choppers with about 4-5 pins on the lower level and about 4-5 on the upper.

I was totally fed up with my teeth (bad ones run in the family no matter how much care you give them or how much you spend.) I went to the dentist and told him I was tired of all this, yank them all and give me dentures. Long and short of it was he thought I'd be a damn fool because the underlying tooth structure was in good shape, and the surgery required to get the teeth out would be about 5 grand. I fixed the teeth. 3 root canals, 5 crowns. 2 teeth had shattered so 4 pins. It will last for about 10 years then we'll go with the mini implants (assuming I'm still here.) All told, in the last 20 years I've spent well over 20K on teeth. Depressing.

Dang man, at your level of $$$ and pain, I'd probably opt for a set of chompers. Keeping the real teeth intact at the rate of 3 to 4 pins each... the teeth have reached the end of their physical and economic life.

I am just tired of all those magnets jumping off the frig onto my face when I walk by...

I can set off a magnetometer wand quicker than a cowboy's belt buckle.
