One of the first times I saw Bill Clinton, I said to the tv, "He's lying". That dealt with him inhaling a pot joint. His denial was so stupid, that I was appalled that he would so, blatantly, lie to the entire baby boomer generation. I have read that 80% of us tried pot and that includes me. So what? Why lie?

From that time forward, I wondered if he could ever tell the truth. In fact, over time, I started to think he was a pathological liar. The man didn't know the difference between truth and lie.

He has written this book that has at least one truth in it. He was asked why he did what he did with Monica Lewinsky. His answer was that because "I could". He knew he was mis-using his power. That was honest.

As a President and the lying aside, his Presidency was not as bad as it could have been. He was a survivor and, overall, an average President. We have, certainly, had a lot worse Presidents than him. Nixon, LBJ, and Carter come to mind in our lifetimes.

There's not a person on this forum that could debate him and win on any subject.

British TV is quite different than American TV.

It takes more sizzle to keep an audience who'd prefer to watch a dog contest or garden show.

Does anybody think that President Bill Clinton won't have to do fun stuff to compete with the 22-year-old hunk who's hogging all of teh Commonwealth's air time.

Asking Bill Clinton if what he's saying is genuine and then accusing him of not being so is tantamount to saying play along -- 'I need the ratings.' But courtesy requires that you forewarn the interviewee.

How about:

Ray Miller on anything related to horses or ranching,

Koert Dubois or Tom Foster on computers,

Terrell Sheilds on the farming industry,

Jo Ann on the manufactured housing industry,

Doug Bingham on the music industry,

George Hatch on just about anything,

Heck, even me on slummin' around with cheap women.
