Ryan

I believe it was Peter Drucker who had the theory that the faster things move, the faster they will move. Essentially means that the speed of change will increase at ever faster pace exponentially.

100 years is to far off, make it 25. Think about the pace of change for all of mankind until the last century. The rate of change was faster, than all the thousands of years before it and that is continuing. So, at the end of this century, the changes will be enormous and impossible for any of us to imagine.

Wouldn't it be cool to be one of first passengers to fly into outer space? Getting through the security will take longer than the flight.

I am happy to see Richard Branson involved. That can only help.

That could be a true. Consider in the past 1,000 years from what I have been able to surmise there has been about 1-2 life changing inventions/discoveries every 100 years (life changing has to do with what effects the common man and is directly used by the commoner). In the 20th century there were several more than that. Now we have powered flight, ray tubs, microchip, tv, wireless communications, radar, X-Ray, E=MC2, and all sorts of others. These are just within the 20th century. All of which have in one way or another altered life as we know it within our century.

So it is possible things will pick up as they continue and less than a 100 years may be plausible.
