That requires a whole NEW wardrobe for you Floridians...

BURRRRRRR!

Trade in those water ski's for Snow Ski's!

Trade in those boats for snowmobiles!

Trade in those running shoes for snowshoes!

Trade in those sports cars for the big bulky SUV'S!

Chris - I'm sure glad I wasn't drinking this cup of java when I clicked the image - too funny - Hell - ya would never survive. You think it's cold if the temp goes lower than 80 - kind of like Phoenix. :rainfro:  :rainfro:

I remember when my little bro-in-law's girlfriend came up one fall to N.GA. Born, raised, and had never been out of south Florida...... she was amazed to see that the leaves change colors!

You might be a Floridian ....

You have more than 20 C and D batteries in your kitchen drawer.

The freezer in your garage is full of homemade ice.

You find yourself dropping words like "millibar" and "convection" into
everyday conversation.

Your pantry contains more than 10 cans of Spaghetti Os.

Making coffee on your propane grill does not seem like an odd thing to
do.

When describing your house to a prospective buyer, you say it has three
bedrooms, two baths and one safe place.

You are delighted to pay $2 for a gallon of unleaded.

You decide that your patio furniture looks better on the bottom of the
pool.

You have the number for FEMA on your speed dialer.

You can wish that other people get hit by a hurricane and not feel the
least bit guilty about it.

Three months ago you couldn't hang a shower curtain; today you can
assemble a portable generator by candlelight.

You catch a 5-pound catfish. In your driveway.

You can recite from memory whole portions of your homeowner's insurance
policy.

At cocktail parties, women are attracted to the guy with the biggest
chain saw.

You have had tuna fish more than 5 days in a row.

There is a roll of tar paper in your garage.

You can rattle off the names of three or more meteorologists who work at
the Weather Channel.

Someone comes to your door to tell you they found your roof.

Ice is a valid topic of conversation.

Relocating to North Dakota does not seem like such a crazy idea.

Yep....actually 72 is quite pleasent thank you. I keep my house set at a constant 72, all year round. The other problem with moving the state to THAT location is the lack of sunlight. I'm photo-depressive. I would have to relocate to Galveston or Hawaii (ooo...there's an idea) to get close to the equal number of daylight hours we all enjoy here. I NEED more than 6 hours of daylight in the winter. Key West has more daylight hours, year round, then the rest of the country. This part of Florida comes in a close second. One of the pleasures of being in the sub-tropics.

Mel...the leaves change in this part of Florida....one day they are green, next cuppla days they are brown...following week they are green again....just not in the fall. Except right now, everything is brown...from wind burn. Our leaves change in the spring when the new growth starts to appear.
