I'm doing a review, and would appreciate getting any help on looking up a few properties in MLS and FAXing me the info. Would gladly pay you or barter.

Anyway, I would join the MLS but they require that I go in person, which I can't for a few days.

Anyone?

Please help meeeeeeeeeeee...

I would think that this would violate the terms of service for many MLS systems.

I disagree. I think it falls under providing professional assistance. Much like talking to a broker, getting a flyer, or talking to another professional appraiser. The information is not being given "to the public" or made public but rather to another real estate professional and only for verification of information. I'm not asking for anyone to give me access to their MLS only to look up information (I'm not that stupid). I hardly see where this would violate an MLS, but then again I'm not an attorney. Out of area brokers typically consult and share MLS information on a regular basis as it is.

Sorry, George. I wasn't trying to give you a hard time. But some MLS providers are very strict and can levy large fines for "sharing" data. One MLS I belong to has strict prohibitions against copying or transferring any data to anyone else. And believe, if they find out about they enforce the fines.

No Biggie Greg.

I'll be driving out there Thursday. Nothing better to do than drive in thunderstorms.
