B) When I think about on line courses, and I try not to, I am reminded of the old adage...."a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client". I suppose you could insert "doctor" for the medical profession, and patient instead of client. What would you insert for appraisers?

Just curious

I, personally, like the convenience of on-line classes. The primary benefits are that:

They are self paced
I can fit it into my schedule last minute
It is not necessary to listen to dumb questions
I don't have to drive anywhere
You can be assured it will be taught the same way (the instructor is not likely to have a bad day)
They are generally cheaper
People sleeping in class are doing so in the comfort of their own homes

The negatives that come to mind are:
There is no way so far to ask questions or talk to others taking the class
Handouts are typically pdf downloads that need to be printed
Someone somewhere will think you are "cheating" and not doing the coursework yourself...at least if you are a football or basketball player
Some people need to be lead around by the ears and gladly volunteer
