Wasn't sure if this has been done before or not, but I thought it would be really interesting to see what the distribution is among members of this forum. Certainly this is not a perfect poll, but perhaps it will help us see who all is reading/lurking/posting on the forums.

Poll flawed, sorry....

Someone just pointed out to me that State Board membership is not a primary function, however I cannot edit the poll. So, if you are a board member, please vote as such instead of as your primary function, so we can see how many folks out there reading these threads are active in that roll.

This poll IS flawed. What about those of us that do about 50/50 between commercial and residential and those of us that own sweatshops?

Those questions were in the poll originally, but I had to knock them out as the poll only allowed 11 options. Which are you Doug? Would anyone admit to being a sweatshop owner (my poll option was actually "work for AMC")?

Poll is flawed :P  What about those of us who are primarily independent residential fee appraisers who also do a lot of review work?

The poll is not flawed until The Duck or Kate say it is flawed. So the posters calling it flawed are flawed. :rainfro:

All Polls are flawed that is how they can show the results the way they want them to come out at the end of almost ANY poll.

How can the Duck or Kate, call a poll flawed, when most of thier polls, if I remember correctly have been judged to be flawed.

What about us that do ERC, REO, Commercial, Farm, Law firm work. Oh! and personal property and livestock?

You all seemed to miss the word "PRIMARY" in the poll question.....

The poll is not flawed, Anne, just a few of the responders :P

Anne - the majority of state board's members are also appraisers. They earn their living as appraisers, I doubt that the $30.00 per diem that many board members qualifies as their primary income.

I know a few board members who do participate in this forum from time to time but I doubt that they are "evil lurkers" out there seeking to ensnair some hapless appraiser.

Oregon Doug
