How Many Double Check Sketch Before Leaving Property

I always make sure it squares up and I have all bedrooms and baths marked.
I draw to scale on graph paper.

how long does it take you to draw a sketch when you draw to scale?

i use to use total sketch at the property and it was especially nice for the more difficult ones. that is until i dropped the device down a flight of stairs, now i use graph paper and pencil.

i have become very comfortable with my drawings and no longer double check before leaving the property. in the earlier years i would check even the easiest ones.

graph paper and a pencil? do you actually draw to scale? i think i do the opposite.

yes. and i dont know how long it takes. i guess as long as it takes to count the appropriate squares? im usually at a property from 30 to 40 minutes if that gives any indication.

well there you go, im there 10 minutes, lol. crazy how different we all perform our jobs! on tuesday i woke up at 9:30 and left, inspected 5 and got back home at 2:30.

I use Mobile. So the sketch is completed at the site. I’ll know if I am wrong right away. I also measure to the nearest half foot. Close enough. Typical ranch home is 20 minutes.

Every 5 squares the line on the paper is a little darker, so it's easy to count. Print this.
How long is it? Sounds like a personal question. :leeann2:

it takes you 20 minutes to sketch a rambler or to do the entire inspection?

Just measured a MH. Tax card says 1200. MLS says 1200. I measure 28 x 50....hmmm. Actual 27.5 but...who's counting?

Checked double today. Realist said 1016 SF, MLS said 1317 SF.
Determined there were no add ons and the agent engaged in puffery. OK, he lied.
Why? I dunno, don't care.
Detached garage was 360 SF so he did not add that.
It was right on 1016 SF and easy to measure.
