Are rental photos required? The form itself does not state anything, FNMA selling guide does not have any direction.

It depends on lender most do - I do use MLS photos on some of my 1007 and have never had any kick back.

Sometimes, when it is convenient (conforming neighborhoods) I'll drive the rental comps and take the photos. Other times, when the rentals are spread out all over the place I don't drive the rental comps and use MLS or other image sources.

Several hundred completed, not one photo or request for a photo.

Agree with "CAN " also "DBT"

just add photos from now on...its not that hard and it saves more time actually when you think about how much time it takes to respond to their nonsense

Which is why it is so frustrating...I sent this very thing, and the lender is saying "this is not a 1025". To which I replied the 1007 form has no requirement for photos, the compatible 1025 literally says "no," the engagement letter made no requirement, but this directive doesn't explicitly say "1007"

*I understand at this point it is a customer service issue, but the scope of work change, after effective date and submission is really bothering me today.

You don't need to change the ED if they just want you to add photos. Use Google Earth or MLS photos. There is no inspection requirement.
