I am on a kick to strengthen my private work and was made aware that personal property appraising sounds like a good way to improve my profession. I'm thinking an all-in-one estate valuation for all the estates around here might interest local lawyers, etc. I am going through ISA but am still in the beginning phase. There are 3 listed private property appraisers around me who all seemingly do the same thing; art and jewelry. I don't want to sound like the typical realtor who wants to become an appraiser and say, I have a diverse knowledge of the value of things you'd find in the typical home here lol but I'd like to hear any ideas how to become competent. Would local appraisers possibly want to guide me in any way in exchange for doing some of their real estate stuff? No clue but I'm looking forward to learning something new.
