I would, however, love to hear what others think. Do you think they will all move to staffs? Can they do that and manage? Would it be more profitable for them? Am I missing something? Trust me when I say I know next to nothing :) I'm just throwing a theory out there for discussion. Let me know that you think///
 
I can't speak to your AMC questions since I've never worked for one and have no plans on starting now.

As far as appraisers leaving the business, yes, a lot are and I think that soon there will be a shortage. The last CE class I attended had an average age of about 50-55, if not more. If someone can hang on for a few years I believe the appraisers will be in the driver's seat again.

I'm not sure where the new appraisers will come from. I haven't had a trainee in 15 years and refuse all requests. I will not train my future competition, even though I plan to retire or at least semi-retire in a year or two.
