MB I know looking to get out - applying for jobs in other fields... many ads say - NO MORTGAGE PEOPLE NEED APPLY!

are we mortgage people?

I am going to have to call shennanigans on that one. Placing something like that in a public advertisement is discrimination.

You might want to re-check the protected classes. Mortgage hacks didn't make the list.

For many decades I have heard of private companies in the MD-DC-VA areas refusing to hire ex-government employees who have worked for the government more than a year or two. Without getting into bashing, lets just say the concern is "productivity issues". And yes, I did six years in the government for those who may think I am picking on this species...

This has been talked about on BO for a year at least. I too have wondered if the reat of the world views appraisers as part of the "mortgage industry." :Eyecrazy:
