Just received a fax from “Appraisal Intelligence”. Most of the type is so small it would give me a headache to read the whole thing. It does imply that it is from “a la mode”! Something about “a la mode presents an exclusive charter subscription”. I think it’s supposed to be some kind of news letter that will be faxed to suckers that want to pay for it. I hope Dave Bigger is not selling my fax number or e-mail address or supporting this dumb idea.
Anyone else get this solicitation?

Yes, I got it, too. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it does catch your eye when it mentions Ala Mode. There is a disclaimer at the bottom that it is not affliated with Ala Mode, even though it is providing an ''exclusive Advance Copy" to Ala Mode users. I thought that it was a newsletter..in one place it suggests that you can SAVE $100 if you subscribe...wow, I wouldn't have thought the whole thing would cost that much.

Appraisal Intelligence will be a premium print newsletter, 16 pages per biweekly issue, sent US Mail, not fax.

Dave and the folks at a la mode have partnered with us to provide their users some industry news prior to the publication's launch, April 29.

I'm interested in any feedback or suggestions anyone has, the first being, should have made it more clear that the newsletter itself wasn't a fax!

No, Appraisal Intelligence doesn't have your fax number or email address, by the way.

I could have swore I got the information by fax! :?:
Using a #8 type font in a fax to announce your publication is not “intelligence” in IMHO :idea: ! I for one will not be calling a 877 phone number to find out if it’s toll free and the price of any publication :? . Your disclaimer about not being affiliated with a la mode is so small I needed my magnifying glass to read it . That makes me very nervous about future disclaimers like total cost of subscription. Why not just announce the price? Since it will be on the web on April 22, why play games? Why didn’t you just inform everyone you faxed the web address? Did a la mode, Dave Bigger or any one at a la mode see or approve your fax?
