NAIFA was down to 800 members? Wow. I bet there were 8,000 or more in 1995

They apparently were down to less than 600 active designated members:
NAIFA-ASA Merger

Of the 570 NAIFA-designated members who were eligible to vote, 293 cast their vote. Here's how they voted:

  • 278 members voted in favor of the merger
  • 9 members voted against the merger
  • 6 abstained
Thank you to everyone who returned their ballot!

vs AI - anyone have the Active USA-ONLY breakdown?/ Total

As of Dec. 31, 2016, total AI professionals stood at 18,817, including active Designated Members, Candidates for Designation, Practicing Affi liates, Affi liates, retired Designated Members and life Designated Members. The total number of AI professionals decreased by 3.8 percent compared to 2015 fi gures due largely to the overall decrease in the number of licensed U.S. appraisers during that same time.
