Due to the recent VETO by NC Governor Easley, a new board and commissions appointments bill will likely be written and voted on when the NC Legislature reconvenes 01/29/2003.

In light of the bad publicity this creates a great opportunity to let the NC Legislature know that appointments to ALL Professional License Boards and Commissions need to be made with some thought, consideration and

I am asking all of you to do three things:

1) Please sign the NC Appraisers Petition (link below)


2) Forward this petition to everyone you know who may be willing to sign.

3) Email the NC State Legislators with a brief note expressing your views on board and commission appointments. The link below goes to ALL Representatives and Senators in the NC Legislature.

This minimal effort on your part could make a BIG CHANGE in how these board and commission members are selected.
