""If you get a job at Bank of America, you'll make $41,000," the Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan told MSNBC on Tuesday. "With the success our company has...we have to share that success with our teammates.""

If his statement is intended to be sincere....

No reduction in work hours....
I'll assume benefits wouldn't be reduced either....

And computerizing the teller ... i.e.- don't expect to talk to a real person in a bank

The private sector making choices to raise wages is the choice of the private sector and should not be dictated by government.

And computerizing the teller ...

Discovered that we can make our business deposits at the ATM where the checks are inserted in a slot and the ATM reads them, itemizes them and gives us a detailed printout.

Lol. Watch this worm turn. It will for appraisers where they represent the other side. Just a matter of time. Some in high places will wish they were not there.

I'm sure BofA is all about their employees and customers interests, right?
It's their fiduciary duty, yes? Just like all the other tbtf companies.
The execs and shareholders can't just screw them over and bank $Millions, can they? :leeann:

Someone explain to me why they think I am being overly cynical here. It's not a lie or anything. It's a whole mess of them.
Anyway. :peace:

About 2.3 million young adults are out of work. "In theory, the path to employment providing financial security in adulthood is simple: finish high school, enroll in and complete college or training that is affordable and a good fit, gain some work experience along the way, and launch a career. But given that 17% of young adults ages 18 to 24 are out of work in mid to large cities in the U.S....this path does not appear to work equally well for all," the Brookings Institution's Martha Ross and Natalie Holmes write in a new report.

Lets not forget that governments have raised the minimum wage in various cities and states.

Sure, he’s sincere. Can’t wait to see if they also pontificate about and publish press releases on the hefty raises and bonuses they’re probably going t give all the CEOS.

I know a BOA employee with 30+ years employment that called me in tears several years ago. In the past she would have been the local "Branch President" or "Mortgage Executive" etc. She was/is 30 + years in today. She basically said all local branch employees are clerks, any mortgage inquiries go to a centralized Florida center. The updated BOA branches have face
time kiosks and there is no decision making at he local level. BOA used to be NCNB and their slogan was they wanted to be the best bank in the neighborhood. Currently they want to be the biggest bank in the world and are one of the worst B&U in the world to deal with as an appraiser OR AS A CONSUMER. Former client/service provider in both directions...
