I was under the impression that I could not get qualified as a FHA/HUD inspector until my 2 years were up. Can you direct me to a web site that tells me the critieria?

opps, didn't look long enough. Found apost on a previous thread. When you say FHA/HUD, aren't they one and the same, as far as qualifications? Do you have to make separate applications? I noticed the FHA approval is on the HUD site.

Thanks for sharing the info.

Peggy:

Correct: 'FHA approved' is 'HUD approved',

but HUD has some other programs which require different qualifications, training and approval, so we normaly say "FHA approved appraiser".

Awkward terminology... always bugged me also.

Just try finding a FHA specialist to ask questions of

other than around here you wind up talking to... HUD!
