You hae to understand that the comment was between two county commissioners. One, who is black, made a joking remark back. Then a local judge demanded an apology for insulting blacks from the first commissioner for insulting black people, saying the use of a "black hole" comment was racist. The commissioner essentially told the judge where to stick it.
Got some real nuts running Dallas County and the City of Dallas due to federally mandated gerrymandering. That's why I made a concious decision not to live there.
Remember the controversy a couple years back where the museum curator said something about the board of directors' new budget being "niggardly" --- man, the PC crowd went ballistic. The guy ended up resigning because of a bunch of ignorami who don't know vocabulary from food stamps. :new_all_coholic:
