Some of my file sizes now exceed the capicity of a CD.

Is there a way to back them up using more CD's(span across I think is the term)

Full and backward in Arkansas.

Depending on what your trying to do WinZip and I am sure some of the other compression software will span a disk. I have not tried it with a CD though.

Now what kind of file do you have that is over 600 megs????

I believe that version 8.1 and higher allows disk spanning between cds.

I think you can actually assign how much data to put on each cd also.

Ed what types of files are you creating that are more than a single CD can hold? At they database files, they are appraisals you might look at the pictures and scans to see if they are the problem.

Ed hasn't answered buy I doubt very seriously that he has a single file over 600 megs. If you are backing up data that consists of mutlitple files then all you have to do is breakt he backup into smaller group. Copy half to a CD and then half to another CD. But if you do have one file (and I SERIOUSLY doubt it) that is over 600 megs then you need spanning software.

The built in backup program in Win2000 and XP will span multipule disks.

THANKS for all your comments.

Our MLS is now at 1,953,459,687 and have not found a way to split it.

My ACI reports are at 715,751,424.

Of course I can put most of them in another folder.

Actually I have an external tape drive that will hold 4 gig but the CDs are easier.

MANY THANKS to YOU ALL.ed
